Cultivation Manager

USA Hemp, one of the largest hemp farms in the Oregon, has an exciting opportunity for a cultivation manager/assistant to join our team at our Molalla, Oregon facility. The position will require traveling to our various hemp plots all over Oregon. 250 acres of hemp. Please include a cover letter letting us know why you're the right person for this position.

The primary job function, duties and requirements are as follows:

• Collect and analyze field data such as plant health, growth, pest and disease monitoring and crop quality evaluations.
• Perform crop production duties, such as seeding, transplanting, watering or harvesting crops.
• Maintain and clean agricultural facilities, equipment, or tools to ensure operational readiness, safety, and cleanliness
• Occasional delivery duties as assigned.
• May operate machinery and equipment to cultivate and harvest plants.
• Light supervisory duties of small number of employees as needed.
• Other duties may be assigned as need arises.

Applicants should have access to reliable transportation. We offer a consistent work schedule, with occasional opportunity for additional work hours. The ideal candidates will be capable of working with minimal oversight but willing to follow directions closely. Someone willing to get their hands dirty and not stop until the job is done.

POSITION SUMMARY

A Cultivation Manager is responsible for maintaining plants from diseases, pests, and other problems by applying the latest advancements in plant health technology.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Diagnose various plant diseases and problems
• Prescribe treatments

• Maintain data log

QUALIFICATIONS

• Degree in Agronomy, Botany, Horticulture or related discipline is preferred, but not required
• Marijuana or Hemp experience preferred, but not required
• Ability to identify plant diseases
• Excellent communication skills
• Career growth ambitions
• Valid and clean driver's license
• Certified applicators license a plus
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds
• Ability to work in extreme outdoor weather
• Attention to detail and positive problem solving attitude

COMPENSATION

• $13-$20/hr
• Compensation based on qualifications and experience
