Green Thumb Management, LLC (GTM) is a fast-growing Company in the Medical Marijuana industry with growing operations and dispensary partners in Arizona.

GTM is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Cultivation Manager.

Description:

The Cultivation Manager supports the Grower by Managing and coordinating activities relating to:

  • Supervision of all greenhouse, cultivation and processing activities.
  • Responsible for the Greenhouse Inventory Control systems and processes.
  • Forecasting manpower needs on a short and long-term basis.
  • Management of IPDM programs and processes.
  • Management of climate control, cultivation systems and operational processes.
  • Managing fertilizer entity; ensuring fertilizer-mixing plan is accurately implemented and fertilizer and irrigation systems are maintained in efficient working order.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure accurate accounting of plants and product through all aspects of production from seed to sale.
  • Coordinates regular Inventory Control audits and immediately take correction, and communicate, any deficiencies.
  • Develop and deliver the daily, weekly, monthly and annual production plan.
  • Manage climate control, cultivation systems and operational processes.
  • Ensure all cultivation operational systems are effective on an on-going basis.
  • Evaluate the performance of plant varieties and communicate results to senior management.
  • Properly manage and control pests and diseases within the company guidelines by collaborating with the IPDM Team.
  • Manage the Irrigation Team by ensuring fertilizer room is clean and organized, fertilizer-mixing plan is accurately implemented and fertilizer and irrigation systems are maintained in efficient working order.
  • Provide direct reports with effective leadership through development and implementation of daily/weekly work plan, effective communication, provide necessary training, recognize and reward good performance, identify performance deficiencies and take corrective action when necessary.
  • Coordinate with Cultivation Team to ensure assigned facility is organized and clean at all time.
  • Control costs in accordance with the assigned operating budget.
  • Ensure the accuracy of required tracking and control documents and reports.
  • Improve workplace ergonomics to reduce or eliminate work injuries.
  • Ensure effectiveness of food safety procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s).
  • Ensure compliance with company’s security and safety protocols.
  • Ensure achievement of operational objectives in a timely manner.
  • Improve workplace ergonomics to reduce or eliminate work injuries.
  • Ensure continuity across all cultivation and processing departments and maximize productivity and quality within the company guidelines.
  • Other duties as assigned that may or may not be commensurate with the level of responsibility of this job description.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Horticultural, Agricultural Engineering or equivalent job experience.**

  • 1 year experience working with industry or agriculture inventory control systems.
  • Software knowledge of Bio-Track THC, MJ Freeway, or Sage preferred.
  • 5 years of experience as Cultivation Manager growing cannabis crops in hydroponic and controlled environments; or 3 years of high yield commercial production in hydroponic and controlled environments.
  • Proficient in Climate Control Systems (Priva/Hoogendorn/Gryphon).
  • Proficient computer skills in Windows (XP or 10), Microsoft Applications (Outlook, Excel & Word).
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Available to work extended hours, holidays, weekends and on-call as required.
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. at least waist high occasionally.
  • Capable of working in extreme temperature variances and high levels of humidity.
  • Capable of standing and walking for prolonged periods of time.
  • Ability to successfully complete a post-offer / pre-employment Drug and Alcohol Screening.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age to satisfy the essential functions of this job.
  • A valid Arizona Driver's License (in good standing)This position is contingent on candidate’s ability to pass background and fingerprint clearance to obtain required Dispensary Agent Card.
