Position Overview: The Cultivation Director will manage a large scale indoor grow facility for medical marijuana. The Cultivation Director will be responsible for overseeing the technicians in the grow, big picture projects, grow compliance and working hands-on. The Cultivation Director can hire top talent for the horticulture team and will manage the documentation for the group. Relocation available.
Responsibilities of the Cultivation Director:
- Manage the day to day and big picture operations of a large scale grow
- Main responsibilities include: cloning, transplanting, feeding, super cropping, flushing, spraying and trimming flowers
- Oversee the cultivation procedures and nutrient regimen
- Ensure all recordkeeping and activities are within regulation of NY state standards
- Schedule and plan milestones for the week, month and quarter
- Oversee cloning processes and execute preventative maintenance to ensure the highest quality yields without loss to fungus, disease and mold
- Assist cross functionally with audits
- Procurement of chemicals, equipment and any necessities in the grow
Qualifications for the Cultivation Director:
- 10 + years commercial agriculture experience
- 3+ years cannabis grow experience
- Experience with various grow mediums and irrigation methods
- Fabulous leader with a positive attitude and vision for the future
- Knowledge of crop management and commercial agriculture
- Knowledge of plant diseases, pests and health
- Physical ability to complete necessary functions in a grow house
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Must be 21 years+ and have a valid driver’s license & could pass a background screening
Education Requirement:
- Specific education not required, but a Bachelors in Botany, Plant Science, Horticulture or related highly desirable
