What you’ll be doing:
The Credit and Collections specialist will be supporting the Credit Manager in the daily operations of the credit department. This role will provide Accounts Receivable collections and credit support for existing customers. Primary responsibilities will include working cross-functionally with other teams, assisting in credit and AR functions, collections, and assisting with special projects as needed.
As the Credit and Collections Specialist, you will:
- Be responsible for the daily review of A/R aging reports to identify delinquent invoices requiring immediate follow-up
- Review accounts in real time as orders come in for credit risk
- Contact delinquent customers by phone, email, and letters according to collections policies
- Work closely with Territory Account Managers / Sales team on reconciling accounts
- Engage customers with the highest level of professionalism
- Thoroughly and accurately document all contacts for each assigned account
- Communicate regularly with leadership and peers on status of accounts and escalations
- Ensure all assigned accounts are managed in a timely and accurate fashion
- Weekly review and reporting of collections metrics to track progress against monthly forecasted goals
- Support cross-functional projects and teams
- Provide accurate and timely reporting of performance metrics
- Complete other duties/tasks as assigned
- Work within excel to organize and extract data
Your experience and skills include:
- Bachelor’s degree and 2 years in collections/accounts receivables/customer service-oriented experience required
- In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree, a minimum of 5 years relevant work experience can be substituted
- Quickbooks experience preferred
- Salesforce or related CRM software experience preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively and professionally interface with a variety of individuals or groups on a frequent basis
- Process-minded with the ability to problem solve, detect patterns, and give advice on trouble shooting
- Advanced excel skills and ability to solve complex problems
- Ability to work independently and under pressure to meet deadlines
- Highly organized and self-disciplines
- Ability and comfortability working in a fast-paced environment with a willingness to learn
