Flint Studios is looking for someone to help us grow our small LA studio, lead some amazing cannabis projects and grow with us. You will lead the branding/creative services of the studio and exceed our expectations through the ongoing, flawless execution and delivery of our clients high-value projects with the multidisciplinary team.

Our job is to support your ability to deliver all projects in a clean and swift manner, to best manage and grow meaningful client relationships, to manage studio partnerships with grace, and leverage those partnerships, and ensure you have the tools needed to deliver best-in-class client service each and every day.

Execution:

  • Accountable for the impeccable delivery of large-sized, high-value client projects
  • Ensures junior team members are delivering quality account management deliverables such as weekly client status reports and meetings, accurate and actionable contact reports, and any relevant competitive activity
  • Execution of creative ideas for clients, working closely with internal teams
  • Becomes an expert in our clients’ review processes and ensures clean submissions with previous learnings applied
  • Partners with the project management team to manage the production of a range of digital and offline tactics
  • Leads productive and informed project kickoffs, holding all team members responsible for providing required documentation
  • Produces original content that results in effective and compelling communication
  • Supports senior team in the scheduling/coordination of meetings, with all associated logistics planned for in a sensible manner, as needed

Relationship Management:

  • Fosters client relationships including day-to-day account lead and has proactive, daily client communications
  • Ability to convey complex ideas and solutions to clients in a clear, simple manner
  • Always looking for ways to better serve the client
  • Capable of deploying the right resources at the right time
  • Gain the trust and confidence of the client, and receive team feedback for service optimization
  • Not afraid of having the ‘tough’ conversations but handles them with grace and dignity
  • Expands the client relationship beyond product manager and beyond marketing
  • Leads new client on-boarding

Management:

  • Monitor and manage the creation of creative assets
  • Coordinate, manage, and direct photo and video shoots
  • Manage team of writers, editors, and designers
  • Provides scheduled and ongoing feedback to managed account team members
  • Manages 2-4 junior team members

Qualifications Include (but not limited to):

  • 5-10 years experience in account/creative studio management
  • At least 5 years creative studio/ ad agency or design firm experience required
  • Experience and/or strong interest in cannabis, branding, marketing/advertising, fashion, lifestyle, and PR
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and successfully deliver multiple high-value, fast-moving projects
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and grow a meaningful client relationship
  • Demonstrated ability to manage/mentor junior account team members
  • A passion for progressive marketing regardless of channel
  • Strong knowledge of social media, including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and Snapchat
  • A clear understanding of the multidisciplinary team and when to engage resources
  • Impeccable attention to detail and self-accountability
  • Organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects on time
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and Google Suite (Calendar, Docs and Sheets)
  • Strong working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and/or Illustrator is a PLUS
  • Strong experience presenting to small or large groups, both internally and externally
  • Ability to follow-through and complete assignments in a timely manner with no room for error
  • Analytical skills to identify and understand implications from relevant marketing data and budgets and transform learnings into new opportunities and/or optimizations
  • Working well independently and as a team member to manage the flow of projects through the studio/team
  • Flexible working hours and the ability to work remotely if necessary
  • A bachelor’s degree (advertising, marketing, communications, or business) preferred
