The ideal candidate will have lifestyle industry experience, have worked in a consumer products environment, working with design, art direction, and brand initiatives, as well as have a network of relationships within the creative community. The Creative Director should have leadership and business skills, as well as a keen sense of style and passion for beautiful products and retail and will be able to build a team as budgets and company priorities allow.

Responsibilities

  • Holds the creative vision for the brand. Manage the creative process from concept to completion.
  • This role will build a team of junior creatives, contractors, and agencies as needed to service the company on a number of cross functional projects.
  • Lead and direct the creative team in the production of all marketing collateral + video content
  • Ensure visual communication and brand standards are met + develop a library of assets
  • Has Experience building a creative services dept and loves developing processes and infrastructure to help facilitate growth in the marketing dept.
  • Manages the graphic design workflow and processes. Formulates graphic list and create schedule of assigned projects for each day with specific goals to ensure timelines are met.
  • Responsible for all ad material graphics including magazine ads, billboards, fliers, newsletter/email blasts, videos, invites, sales kits, etc.
  • Creates complex digital files from “scratch” for a variety of media, in print, and web.

Requirements

  • 7-10 years’ experience in branding, design, marketing
  • Prior Management/Leadership Experience
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at one time
  • Experience in consumer products and packaging development
  • Ability to multitask multiple projects in a fast-paced, innovative environment
  • Flexibility to work in a collaborative structure and ability to work across various departments and functions
  • Experience in Video creation + Social Media content a plus
  • Must be able to pass a background screening
  • BSc/BA in advertising, fine art, design or relevant field; MSc/MA will be considered an asset
