Corporate Paralegal

Hobson Bernardino + Davis LLP, a Los Angeles based-law firm, seeks talented Corporate Paralegal to join its team to support Affordable Housing finance and Cannabis permitting transactions. In this Paralegal role, you will be responsible for assisting attorneys in all stages of Affordable Housing finance and Cannabis permitting transactions. Corporate Paralegal will have at least 3-5 years of corporate transactional experience working in a law firm.

Main responsibilities include:

• Forming and maintaining corporate entities
• Preparing resolutions and incumbency certificates for transactions
• Assisting attorneys closing finance and real estate transactions
• Preparing and maintaining compliance files for Cannabis permitting in California and various local jurisdictions

Location: Los Angeles, CA (Downtown Los Angeles)

Salary: Competitive, $65k-90k, commensurate with experience

Qualifications:

• At least 3+ years of legal experience in a corporate/transactional role
• Strong client service and communication (written and verbal) skills
• Strong organizational skills and an ability to prioritize
• Able to complete simultaneous projects with minimal supervision
• Ability to think critically/analytically and exhibit sound judgment
• Attention to detail and strong multi-tasking skills
• Ability to work independently
• Strong spelling and grammar skills for proofreading
• Flexibility/availability to work overtime as needed (includes evening and weekend)
• Enthusiastic and proactive team player
• Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat
• Strong desire to work in Affordable Housing and/or Cannabis permitting matters
