The Controller will play an integral role in monthly closing, financial reporting, operations, and business analysis reporting to the General Manager. The Controller actively works with the Financial Manager to help this organization continue to grow while controlling expenses and protecting company assets.

Responsibilities:
- Analyzes accounting records, including financial statements and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness and conformance to standards defined within the company
- Develops systems for the maintenance of financial records, making use of current technologies
- Manages and is responsible for day to day financial compliance for the facility.
- Process monthly sales tax, property tax and work with management and outside consultants to generate yearly tax forms, assure licenses and permits are current and in good order
- Monitor bank accounts to assure appropriate cash to meet needs of business and adjust as necessary
- Create monthly and annual reports to identify results, trends, and financial forecasts
- Supervise and manage financial department staff, including Accountants, Bookkeepers and Financial Assistants
- Suggest updates and improvements for accounting systems, including payroll and invoicing
- Ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported
- Establish and implement financial reporting systems to comply with government regulations and legislation
- Develop budgets and financial plans for the company based on research and data reports
- Review all financial plans and budgets regularly to look for cost reduction opportunities
Qualifications:
- 5 Year strong Background working with QuickBooks Desktop
- Full/Strong technology skills using Microsoft Office
- Must be able to pass a background and reference check
- Bachelor’s in accounting or Finance or related field, or a minimum of five years’ experience in a business or Finance environment management
- Leadership skills and interpersonal skills
- solid written and verbal communication skills
- understanding of data privacy standards
Compensation: $50,000-$70,000 salary per year (based on experience)
