Position Title: Compliance Specialist

Department: Operations

Direct Supervisor: Assistant Director of Operations

Indirect Supervisor: CEO and Director of Operations and Director of Finance

Position Summary: To contact, organize, schedule, service and deliver iComply services for clients including, but not limited to; Compliance Audits, Documentation Reviews: SOPs, Employee Training Manuals, HR handbooks etc., METRC and Inventory Audits and Reconciliations, Books and Records reviews and audits, Compliance Training and Certification, Packaging and Labeling Audits, and other services as assigned by supervisors. This position works collaboratively with all other departments and leadership team in order to support the iComply, LLC’s brand, achieve the goals and mission of the organization. At all times treat colleagues, clients, and the public in accordance with iComply, LLC’s core values.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review and improve Standard Operating Procedures, Compliance Audits, and other materials as assigned.
  • Observe and follow all deadlines for deliverables.
  • Communicate with clients regarding projects, service delivery, and document submissions.
  • Assist Assistant Director of Operations with projects as assigned.
  • Assist Director of Operations, CEO, and Director of Finance with projects as assigned.
  • Assist in scheduling and coordinating projects for clients.
  • Ensure accurate internal documentation.
  • Participate and contribute as a member of team meetings as assigned.
  • Assist in review and development of internal processes and procedures.
  • Participate in personal growth and continuing education.
  • Participate in trainings and continuing education as assigned.
  • Maintain and follow policies and procedures.
  • Complete other assigned duties as needed for the Assistant Director of Operations/Director of Operations/Chief Executive Officer/Director of Finance.

Position Qualifications:

  • Education– Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Experience– Three years experience in managing licensed cannabis operations, using Standard Operating Procedures., METRC, and other compliance management systems. Experience and knowledge about the marijuana industry a must.
  • Skills– Typing and word processing skills above average. Good working knowledge of document processing software. Strong problem solving and customer service skills and the instinct and initiative to use them at the best moment.

Position Schedule:

  • Position is expected to work for: 1) full-time non-exempt hourly position a 40 hour work week, 2) part-time non-exempt hourly position up to a 20 hour work week, and full-time exempt salaried a minimum of 45 hour work week with hours varying on Sunday thru Saturday between the hours of 8:00 AM – 10:00 PM.

  • Ability to stand for duration of 5 hours.
  • Some tasks may involve exposure to chemicals, body fluids, ink, agricultural chemicals and nutrients.
  • Occasionally required to stand, sit, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Self provision of a cell phone, laptop, and vehicle to conduct the work.
