Job Duties:
- Monitors and reports results of the compliance efforts of the company.
- Provides guidance for the management team on matters relating to compliance.
- Authorized to implement all necessary actions to ensure achievement of the objectives of an effective compliance program.
- Develops, initiates, maintains, and revises policies and procedures for the general operation of the Compliance Program and its related activities to prevent illegal, unethical, or improper conduct.
- Develops and periodically reviews and updates Standards of Conduct to ensure continuing currency and relevance in providing guidance to management and employees.
- Collaborates with other departments to direct compliance issues to appropriate existing channels for investigation and resolution.
- Identifies potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk; develops/implements corrective action plans for resolution of problematic issues and provides general guidance on how to avoid or deal with similar situations in the future.
- Acts as a channel of communication to receive and direct compliance issues to appropriate resources for investigation and resolution.
- Acts as an independent review and evaluation body to ensure that compliance issues/concerns within the organization are being appropriately evaluated, investigated and resolved.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience working with OSHA or other regulatory agencieshighly preffered/required?
- Experience with operational, financial, quality assurance, and human resource procedures and regulations.
- Experience in risk management.
- Knowledge of legal requirements and controls.
- Familiarity with cannabis industry regulation, practices and professional standards.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Integrity and professional ethics.
- BSc/BA in law, finance, business administration or a related field.
- Professional certification (e.g. Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP)) is a plus.
Additional Requirements:
- Minimum of 21 years of age.
- Possesses valid driver’s license or state ID.
- Must pass any and all required background checks.
- Must be and remain compliant with any and all legal or company regulations for working in the industry.
