Summary

As an integral part of the Compliance Department, this position is responsible for providing regulatory compliance support and guidance to MedMen’s operations team and develop easy to reference regulatory guides to support compliance needs.

Essential Functions

  • Learn and stay up-to-date with cannabis regulations for designated jurisdictions
  • Collaborate with designated departments to implement compliant processes
  • Work with designated departments to create standard operating procedures to support compliant process implementation
  • Provide real-time compliance support to operations and product development department
  • Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and compliance

Required Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree
3+ years of compliance/operations/regulatory experience in any of the following industries: cannabis, pharmaceutical, motor vehicle manufacturing or petroleum manufacturing
High degree of proficiency in communication
Experience with new processes implementation, including on-going support, is required

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

Cannabis regulation and/or product knowledge is a plus
Prior experience working with cannabis cultivation or manufacturing is a plus
Ability to draft succinct memos, business correspondences and procedures is a plus

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.

This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Travel

This position may require travel from time to time.
