Eaze is looking for a outstanding Community Affairs Manager to help build relationships throughout our ecosystem. Reporting to the Director of Community Affairs, the Community Affairs Manager is key in bolstering the Eaze movement and enhancing new and existing relationships to continue executing policy goals.
The successful Community Affairs Manager will:

Work closely with Government Affairs, Compliance and Regional Operations teams to develop a local community engagement strategy for our partner organizations that will support the cannabis movement and Eaze’s local legislative initiatives

Build a coalition of diverse supporters by managing relationships with partner organizations

Create scalable rapid response and long-term grassroots engagement strategies at the local, state, and national levels

Plan and staff government relations events such as community meetings, rallies, outreach sessions, meetups, etc

Foster key relationships and amplify voices across the Eaze ecosystem to highlight economic, industry, and community impact

Proactively educate and inform our partners on legislative changes that directly affect them through regularly curated newsletters, group meetings, and one-on-one conversations

Recruit and train Eaze activists who will advocate for sensible cannabis regulations in meetings and hearings with lawmakers, regulators as well as local media

Coordinate and execute use of political tactics such as advertising, yard signs, in-district meetings, rallies, postcards, and swag
Our Ideal Candidate

Bachelor’s degree and 3-5+ years experience as a field organizer/director, event manager, or advance team member for political campaigns (preferably city and/or state level) / (2-3 years if Organizer)

Experience in California politics is a plusExperience recruiting and remotely managing campaign volunteers

Knowledge of best-in-class ground organizing tacticsImpeccable event organization skills

Command of guerrilla marketing and offline advertising tactics

Passionate commitment to the Eaze community and the cannabis industry
