Illumitex a worldwide leader in the horticultural LED lighting market specializing in lighting for cannabis, vertical farms, greenhouses and contained environment agriculture. Our patented horticulture LED lights are tuned to plants' photosynthetic needs and will help our customers save energy and increase yields. Illumitex is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist and programmer to add to our growing company.
CNC Machinist Responsibilities:
- Load programs, setup CNC equipment, complete 1st piece inspections, and run production loads
- Use measuring tools including micrometers, calipers, and indicators
- Interpret prints and specification sheets
- G code and M code editing
- Monitor and maintain quality throughout production runs
- Ensure that all machinery is operational.
- Troubleshoot machines and CNC programs for problems and inefficiencies
- Perform daily cleaning of equipment and surrounding areas.
- Requires the ability to use specialized equipment.
- Keep scrap levels to a minimum.
- Any other duties as assigned by manufacturing floor leadership.
CNC Machinist Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum 3-year experience CNC machining
- 1-2 years' experience in a production or manufacturing environment
- High school diploma or GED and some college education preferred, but not required
- Ability to document work, and track project status
- Ability to read and understand shop floor routers
- Will possess strong geometry knowledge and mathematical skills; a commitment to quality and safety; the ability to work in a team environment; and, possess excellent problem solving and analytical skills
- Good communication skills including basic reading, writing, and math skills
- Must be able to work on assignments that are moderately complex
- Must be able to use a moderate amount of judgment required to perform the assigned task
- Able to learn and retain the operation of all equipment in the facility
- Must be familiar with standard Microsoft Windows computer operation
- The work requires light physical effort with frequent lifting and/or moving of materials in the 10-50-pound range and occasional lifting up to 50 pounds. Requires manual dexterity and ability to manipulate small objects. May require the normal range of hearing and vision to operate machinery
- Training on safety, welding procedures, drawings, shop routers or work instructions as needed
