Chief Financial Officer/Director of Finance/Controller

• Provide direction and assistance to third party firm performing accounting, billing, payables, payroll, general ledger, budgeting and financial reporting duties
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation, analysis and presentation of all financial reports, statements and tax returns/filings on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis
• Direct financial planning and budgeting
• Analyze financial details of past and present, and build financial models for expected operations to identify development opportunities
• Maintain current knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations, and current accounting standards
• Manage insurance programs and all HR paperwork
• Develop and enforce internal control policies, guidelines and procedures
• Advise management on short-term and long-term financial objectives, policies and actions

Qualifications

• 5+ years of successful accounting / finance experience
• Demonstrated competence with QuickBooks Online
• Advance knowledge of Excel
• Demonstrated experience with Pro Forma and Cap Tables
• Ability to develop, document and implement processes and procedures
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work with all levels of the organization
• Demonstrated successful experience working with owner CEO
• Strong aptitude for research and problem solving
• Ability to work under pressure and consistently achieve required deadlines
• Excellent organizational and time management skills with attention to details and proactive approach
• Ability to create, review, and maintain contracts
• Cannabis industry experience a plus
• Financial service industry experience a plus
• Advanced relevant degree, training, certifications are a plus
• Must be located in Oakland, CA.
