Our client, a high profile investment company in the Cannabis Industry, is seeking a hands-on CFO.
Job Responsibilities
- The position will work closely with the CEO and will oversee all areas of accounting and financial reporting, including payroll, revenue recognition, tax compliance, budgeting, financial reporting, audits, and related policies and practices.
- The CFO will be responsible for implementing systems, controls and other policies and procedures to be compliant and to ensure the integrity of all financial data.
- The ideal candidate would also have the ability to handle corporate governance and contract administration.
- The CFO will ensure timely and accurate preparation, analysis and presentation of all financial reports, statements and tax returns/filings on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
- The CFO will also direct financial planning, budgeting, financial analysis and ensure compliance with state and federal state laws and regulations and GAAP.
Qualifications
- CPA or similar certification with a Bachelor in Accounting and/or Finance
- 5+ years experience as a hands-on CFO working closer with an owner/CEO
- Demonstrated competence with QuickBooks Online
- Advance knowledge of Excel
- Demonstrated experience with Pro Forma financial and Cap tables
- Strong aptitude for research and problem solving
- Ability to work under pressure and consistently achieve required deadlines
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with attention to details and proactive approach
- Ability to create, review, and maintain contracts
- Cannabis industry experience a plus.
Location: This position is located in the East Bay, San Francisco
Salary: $130K Plus bonus and potential future equity
