Requirements:
- BA, BS or MS in cell biology, pharmacology, or closely related field
- Ability to work towards concrete goals and deadlines in an independent manner, while communicating progress, written and verbally, to project teams and supervisors
- Ability to make objective assessments and decisions based on quantitative data
- Experience in culturing and aseptic handling of mammalian cells
- Experience collecting quantitative data from cell-based assay systems
- Experience with measuring EC50s of compounds in various cellular assays
- Fluorescence microscopy experience is a plus
- Experience with receptor pharmacology a plus
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup R&D environment
Duties:
- Maintain multiple cell lines for activity assays
- Develop quantitative cellular assays for GPCRs, ion channels, and enzymes
- Keep a detailed lab notebook documenting all work
- Report data internally
- Troubleshoot assays and instrumentation
- Contribute to research on the cellular activity of phytocannabinoids
- Write new SOPs and adhere to current SOPs
- Write reports and communicate proficiently with R&D, production, and executive teams
