Job Description:

We are proudly rolling out our training program for individuals who are interested in getting their foot in the door of the I-502 recreational cannabis industry.

The entry fee for our training program, the online and in-person training combined, is $199. Space is limited - do not wait to apply. During the in-person training you will be paid on a piece rate basis per pound and the majority of our trainees are able to make their investment right back by the end of the two weeks. In other words, this training program will literally pay for itself!

First, our online courses will provide you with valuable knowledge about the history of cannabis, its chemical properties, plant variants, recreational-medical-and-industrial usages, legalization, and more. You will gain insight as to what to expect when first entering a recreational marijuana farm; including grow basics, processing basics, as well as safety and compliance procedures. The online education half of our training program will take approximately 1-2 days to complete and you will receive a certificate of completion upon passing the final exam.

The second half of our training program is in-person, hands-on, at a local indoor recreational marijuana farm for two weeks (10 days). You will be provided with the necessary tools and guidance to jumpstart your career in the recreational marijuana industry.

Hands-on training may include one or all aspects of the recreational marijuana grow operation:

  • Harvesting (harvesting fully grown cannabis plants)
  • Bucking (removing excess leafs by hand from the recently harvested plants)
  • Trimming (using scissors to finely trim and manicure marijuana buds to be eventually packaged for consumption)

By the end of the two week training period, you will be expected to trim at least 1 pound of flower per 8 hour shift, which is the industry average and expectation. You will be thoroughly coached on techniques to increase your trimming speed and efficiency while maintaining superior quality.

Trimming is an ART, and individuals who meet or exceed the expectation of 1LB/day will be eligible for full-time, part-time, on-call, temporary, or temp-to-hire career opportunities.

After two weeks, you will be ready for a career in the recreational marijuana industry, having gained incredibly valuable experience harvesting, bucking, trimming and the necessary knowledge regarding growing techniques, processing methods, compliance and safety basics, and more!
