This position is supervised by the department manager. Individual will assist manager as directed. These tasks include, but are not limited to, collaboration with the grow team to determine which strains are to be prepared for harvest next, keeping the production of the department going at an efficient rate, helping with dry plant material entry and carrying out tasks as needed.
Duties and responsibilities
- Harvesting all mature plants
- Harvesting by Hand Trim or Rip and Strip
- Preparation of equipment and plant materials for extraction
- Following strict compliance protocol.
- Any other duties as assigned by management.
- Although this is a general outline of job responsibilities all employees are expected to be “hands on” and do whatever it takes to get the job done and make SCCS thrive.
Qualifications
- Must be able to work cooperatively and professionally with all agency staff on a consistent basis.
- Must be able to provide own transportation to and from work. If using own vehicle, must be able to provide proof of adequate personal vehicle insurance.
- Willingness and ability to maintain accurate, timely records and daily paperwork.
- Must be able to follow oral and/or written instructions.
Requirements
- MUST BE at least 21 years of age.
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Ability to read, write and speak English clearly and concisely.
- Ability to work quickly without compromising accuracy.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks for long periods of time
- Strong communication skills to work with various members of staff and management.
- Able to work in different seasonal climates and temperature changes.
- Flexible to schedule changes.
- Excellent attention to detail and able to meet all deadlines.
- Ability to pass extensive background checks
Physical requirements
- Sitting for prolonged periods of time when necessary
- Walking to and from the grow rooms when necessary
- Lift up to 50 pounds
- Ordinary speech and hearing 100% of the time
- Observant and attentive vision.
- Repetitive use of hands, wrists, and fingers 100% of the time
- Repetitive motion
- Sitting and/or standing for prolonged periods and or walking to and from grow rooms several times a day
- Use of sharp utensils.
