What we’re looking for:
We are looking for a Supply Chain and Purchasing Associate to coordinate all activities within manufacturing, production, and supply chain to ensure inventory and continuous quality improvements, The team member will review and analyze product quality issues from sales feedback, returns, wastage rates, and customer complaints to implement changes to process or product requirements. The team member will also be in charge of our domestic and foreign supply chain to ensure inventory is always in stock. The team member must be willing to drive change across the organization and work with multiple team leads and departments.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze product returns and wastage to provide make improvements across the production process.
- Track customers and sales team regarding product problems to investigate specific problems.
- Work with domestic and overseas suppliers to improve upon hardware and packaging.
- Forecast order needs based on sales history.
- Maintain in-stock rates and inventory within specified budgets.
- Place purchase orders with vendors.
- Work with our receiving team and inventory teams to ensure proper tracking of inventory.
- Work with product and marketing team to improve products for better quality results.
- Negotiate pricing with vendors.
- Finding new vendors when required/necessary.
- Manage overseas shipping forwarders and pricing.
- Assist product and marketing source new products and services from new or existing vendors.
Requirements:
- Worked in supply chain/overseas vendors
- Experience with purchasing
- Experience with root cause analysis
- Ability to work with Excel and analyze data
- This is not an analyst position, you will drive change across the organization and work with multiple team leads and departments
