Cannabis Compliance and Consulting Company in Long Beach is looking to hire someone with experience researching and interpreting cannabis regulations at the local and state level in California. Our company is a forward-thinking consulting firm with an emphasis on licensing and compliance. We want to bridge government and the cannabis industry to support a thriving legal cannabis market in California and beyond. Our company has a vision for cannabis in California and is assisting businesses in getting licensed and fulfilling their dreams. We are seeking a qualified, organized, self-motivated candidate to fill our Cannabis Regulations Specialist position. This position will research commercial cannabis regulations, provide guidance and support to a team of specialists in the industry, assimilate new and changing regulations within cities and counties, interpret regulations, communicate with State Agencies, local government, and clients. Visiting sites and being in the field may also be involved, along with assessing sites, developing technical documents and writing various content and plans.

Description:

  • Perfect opportunity for candidates with some experience in the cannabis industry, especially as it pertains to compliance and regulations.
  • In addition to researching and tracking day-by-day changes in the local and state regulations that affect the emerging cannabis industry in California, this position will assist in the writing, development and launch of related technical reports, plans and services.
  • Field work, including potential client facility inspections and assessment may be required.
  • Opportunity for growth, including higher-level consulting opportunities, client contact, content writing, plan writing, and other increased responsibilities for the right candidate.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent writing, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be highly organized, self-directed and detail oriented.
  • Comfort level with paperwork and technical documents.
  • Confident in ability to write professional communications and other content.
  • Strong focus and ability to research.
  • Professional experience in the cannabis industry strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of current commercial cannabis regulations a PLUS.
  • Experience writing, developing or editing regulatory licensing documents in any industry a PLUS.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills and Google Suite skills.
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver's license are mandatory. A background and driver's license check will be performed.
