Job Description:

High Five Farms is I-502 licensed for tier 3 cannabis producing and processing in Washington State. We proudly grow all-natural, sun-grown cannabis at our farm in Prosser, WA.

We are looking for an experienced and dedicated cannabis cultivator to lead our production team. You must have a passion for cannabis production and experience working in agriculture. We would like you to have experience in understanding and maintaining the health of plants, weed and pest control, applying fertilizers, and using farm equipment. We would also like you to have experience supervising and leading a team of employees. The Production Manager will work closely with the Production Director and the owners of the company, and will be responsible for directly supervising employees.

Duties

  • Supervise and lead the production team in all tasks relating to the growth and harvesting of marijuana plants. Including but not limited to cloning, watering, fertilizing, pruning, transplanting, staking, harvesting, etc.
  • Effectively monitor growth and health of cannabis plants in all stages of growth, from clones to harvest-ready plants. Be able to identify common horticultural issues and concerns, and be able to communicate issues with senior staff, and troubleshoot effectively.
  • Manage and/or execute tasks relating to upkeep of the production area. Including but not limited to cleaning, machine and tool repairs, small building projects, electrical work, moving dirt and amendments.
  • Directly supervise production workers, including creating and monitoring schedules and breaks, organizing and prioritizing daily tasks, and providing training as needed.
  • Effectively manage production workers through motivation, time management, problem solving and leadership.
  • Manage light deprivation tarping from approximately July 1st - August 31st. Includes monitoring tarping schedule, providing training when needed, and covering tarping shifts in case of illness or absence of employee.
  • Monitor and maintain irrigation system including making sure it is working properly and troubleshooting issues that may arise.
  • Operate and maintain working order of heavy machinery and equipment including tractors, fertigation truck, trim machines, etc.
  • Manage deliveries and storage of materials in production area and order materials and tools as needed.
  • Maintain and monitor traceability system in compliance with I-502 law. This includes using traceability software, ensuring proper tagging, monitoring, storing and disposal of cannabis plants and product.
  • Actively work with company owners to stay up to date on LCB laws and requirements for I-502 licensed production facilities, and work to maintain high standards of compliance among supervised employees and within production area.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with Production Director and company owners regarding daily operations, production team, plant growth and health, machinery and equipment, etc.

Skills/Experience

Required

  • Minimum three years cannabis growing experience.
  • Minimum one year of direct supervisory experience of two or more employees.
  • Experience driving and working with heavy farm equipment.
  • Strong communication skills and team oriented.
  • Ability to prioritize and delegate tasks.
  • Strong work ethic and “get it done” attitude.
  • Proficient in basic computer software (internet, email, printers).
  • Ability to lift over 50 lbs.
  • High School Diploma.

Preferred

  • 1-3 years experience leading or managing cannabis grow operations.
  • Experience working with WA State I-502 traceability software.
  • Mechanical, electrical, and/or carpentry skills.
  • Experience maintaining irrigation systems.
  • Bachelor’s Degree.

Salary

Competitive industry salary with built in bonus; salary range depends on experience.
