Job Title: Cannabis Industry Sales Executive - Commission Only

Company Info: Genius Distribution, a business 2 business cannabis distribution company, is looking for enthusiastic, organized sales closers for wholesale distribution of cannabis products. Commissioned Sales Closers will broker sales between cannabis cultivators and cannabis manufacturers and retailers. If you are an ambitious, driven individual who can develop new business as well as service existing clients’ requirements, then we want to hear from you.

As Sales Executive, your responsibility will be to ensure personal monthly and annual sales targets are achieved and exceeded by utilizing your account management, new business development and sales skills.

Job Description:

  • Utilize CRM to manage accounts
  • Develop strong relationships with retail, manufacturing and production buyers, management and sales staff on behalf of Genius Distribution.
  • Gather insight and market intelligence on Genius Distributions opportunities and build a holistic understanding of manufacturers and retailers in your territory
  • Maintain expert-level knowledge of our strains, products, and competitors
  • Ensure monthly and annual sales budget is achieved by targeting clients in your region.
  • Maximize opportunities afforded by Genius Distribution’s existing clients.
  • Develop new business and increase spend by all new and existing clients, in line with targets.
  • Represent Genius Distribution’s Values in all dealings with Clients, Suppliers and Colleagues.
  • Must be able to demonstrate and uphold our Company Values: Respect, Understanding, Creativity and Professionalism
  • Elevate Genius Distributions community profile by participating in relevant events

The Person(s) we hire will:

  • Have previous experience in the cannabis industry and interaction with dispensaries, cultivators, manufacturers or delivery outlets.
  • Always be on-time for meetings and events
  • Refrain from consumption of all intoxicating substances before and during work hours
  • Exhibit an appearance and demeanor that is professional and responsible at all times
  • Maintain regular access to a reliable vehicle and regularly travel by car to cultivators, retailers, and manufacturers
  • Respond to all external and internal communications in a timely fashion
  • Use company tablets, phones, software
  • Arrange and make sales calls
  • Work with Genius Distributions cultivators and participate in sales calls with their representatives
  • Travel as necessary to trade shows and industry events, on evenings and weekends as necessary
  • Provide weekly recap reports to management
  • Be proficient with Google & G Suite Preferred

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of cannabis and/or the cannabis industry or ability to learn a new industry
  • Knowledge of California Cannabis laws, regulations and requirements
  • Commission based sales experience is required.
  • Must have excellent communicative and organizational skills
  • Minimum education: High-school, Associate’s & Bachelor’s preferred
  • Personable, articulate, self-motivated, organized
  • Pass background check
  • MUST be 21 years or older and have NO past felonies
  • Able to pass a drug test*
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record
  • Reliable transportation

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 3 years’ demonstrable sales success within promotional merchandise.
  • Ability to communicate via telephone and email.
  • Presentable and con dent in face-to-face meetings.
  • General higher education or sales-training and qualifications.
  • Able to build rapport quickly over phone or face to face.
  • Strong networking skills.
  • Able to build rapport quickly over phone or face to face.
  • Motivated self-starter

Salary & Benefits: This is a Commission-Only position with a competitive commission structure.

If selected to move onto the next interview step be prepared to quantify your past sales success or be prepared to explain in detail (presentations may be required) how you would approach a territory, how you plan to meet a quota and showcase your creativity as far as finding new accounts.
