Sanctuary Medicinals is seeking highly motivated, organized, and diligent candidates for an entry-level position in their extraction laboratory. Responsibilities include:
- Setup, operation, cleaning, and basic maintenance of cannabis extraction equipment
- Operation and cleaning of laboratory equipment used in the extraction process (rotovap, vacuum oven, distillation apparatus)
- Record keeping of all production operations in a detailed laboratory notebook
- Preparation of cannabis extract products such as vape oils, shatter, salves, and transdermal patches
- Filling of vape cartridges, tincture bottles, salve tins, etc. with finished product
- Entry of raw material and finished product information into a database
- Participation in procedure development and scale-up
Requirements:
- Associates degree or higher in chemistry, engineering, biology, or similar field
- Prior hands-on laboratory experience in field of study desired
- Prior experience in cannabis extraction a plus
- Strong attention to detail and ability to keep a well-documented lab journal
- Competence in algebra and basic math
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment a plus
- Ability to follow detailed instructions
- Ability to work both quickly and carefully
- Ability to run procedures using both metric and imperial measurements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work on your feet the majority of the day in a fast-paced environment
