Our client, a vertically integrated and diversified multi-state holding company in the cannabis industry, is seeking an experienced and detail-orientedChocolatier/Edibles Manager for their newly opened Oakland based chocolate factory.
Reporting directly to the principal, the Chocolatier will assist in tempering chocolate and creating chocolate molds while minimizing chocolate loss through careful handling, while meeting tight deadlines, and remaining highly productive under limited supervision.
As a Cannabis Chocolatier, you take your craft seriously, pride yourself on quality results and have an eye for detail with the ability to produce fine qualitytempered chocolate treats that are delicious, precise, and visually appealing.
Menu additions may change, so employees are encouraged to participate in the creative process.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- ** Chocolate Tempering Experience Required **
- Use specialized equipment to temper chocolate and produce bars.
- Maintain proper stock levels of all products
- Maintain and keep all equipment clean
- Make chocolate truffles and bars using specialized equipment and techniques
- Leave the kitchen clean and ready for production
Education and Requirements
- Associates Degree Preferred, High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED) Focus in Culinary
- Strong work ethic, superior time management skills and the ability to multitask are vital
- Strong math skills
- Creative with a great palate for flavors
Compensation: $55-$60k plus benefits
