Job Summary:

The job of 'Cultivator Apprentice’ has many facets, and is based on a self driven and motivated mentality. Responsibilities will center around assisting Decibel Garden cultivators during harvest. These responsibilities are aimed at educating a candidate in the techniques, and process of cultivating premium indoor cannabis. The process of harvesting includes long hours and strenuous work. The ideal candidate will be extremely hard working, and in good physical condition so that tasks may be completed safely. The goal of this position is to give part time experience to eagar individuals looking to expand their real-life experience in commercial cannabis. The position will offer up to 10 hours a week but, with some variability. This means some weeks will offer less hours, while other times will offer many more hours than average. The position is not capped at any amount of hours, because as the candidate progresses through the apprenticeship, more hours may be offered. Candidates that excel at the responsibilities tasked to them, have the potential to move up to be part-time or full-time cannabis cultivators.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Cultivator Apprentice is an entry level position. This means that all work done will be supervised, so comprehensive experience in cultivation is not required. The ideal candidate will follow directions precisely, and approach the workplace as a learning environment to hone the skills needed to be a professional cannabis cultivator. Also, the ideal candidate will not only strive to learn about this field, but strive to become a more permanent member of the team. The following is a short list of responsibilities expected as a Cultivator apprentice.

• Sanitizing growing pots
• Preparation of flowering rooms for harvest
• Preparing harvested plants for drying process
• Resetting rooms after harvest
• Sanitizing irrigation equipment
• Reporting any potential problems directly to supervisors

Qualifications and Skills

Scheduling Specifics

• The ideal candidate will be able to make scheduling arrangements with other employers if applicable, to prioritize the hours we request for our harvest.
• If a candidate cannot prioritize the hours we need, the apprenticeship will be terminated.
• It is the candidates responsibility to communicate any potential scheduling conflicts as soon as possible to Decibel Garden supervisors.
• We are willing to work with the candidate’s schedule with prior notice.
