Description:
This position will work closely with the Head of Extraction to process cannabis plant material into purified oil. Other duties include but are not limited to packaging product for distribution, help manage both cannabis and non-cannabis inventory, as well as conducting general lab duties, being creative and coming up with new research and development ideas as well as preparation/cleaning of lab equipment. This position will require accurate and timely recording and tracking of cannabis inventory throughout cultivation/processing/and distribution operations. We are looking for candidates who will follow SOPs and GMP/OLCC guidelines and can work safely and effectively in a clean-room environment.
Responsibilities Include:
- Assist in the operation and maintenance of extraction equipment.
- Assist with the front-end processing of raw materials, including weighing, grinding, cleaning and general lab work.
- Prepare workspace, equipment and materials daily.
- Wash and sterilize laboratory glassware and equipment.
- Maintain and follow all laboratory methods, protocols and SOPs.
- Maintains equipment calibration schedule and ensure that all required calibrations and maintenance are completed in a timely fashion
- Multitask and coordinate multiple assignments simultaneously with a high degree of accuracy and timeliness.
- Keep supervisor informed of all key quality findings and issues.
- Perform some administrative tasks, such as documenting all machine maintenance, logging test results, printing labels, auditing products and supplies.
- Weigh and package finished products.
- Work with all departments to coordinate workflow * Assume other activities and responsibilities as directed.
Qualifications:
- Lab work experience preferred
- Excellent interpersonal skills; both verbal and written are essential
- Be an effective team-player committed to company goals
- Ability to react to situations with a "sense of urgency" and responsibility
- Microsoft Word, Excel experience preferred
- Able to work overtime during peak seasons.
- Physical demands not limited to: able to sit, stand, bend, and lift up to 50lbs.
- Must be at least 21 years old and have OLCC Workers Permit
- A degree or experience in Chemistry or any Sciences is highly desirable! but not required.
Candidates who have experience with extraction techniques and processes are preferred.
