Job Description:

Responsible for directing the work of a team of installers, ensuring that all staffing, customer service and quality control issues are communicated to the Project Manager and handled quickly and effectively.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Each of the functions listed below have depth which for purposes of this general description, are not listed. Essential responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to the following:

Management:
Proactively address employee concerns in an effort to satisfy the employee and ensure compliance with stated policies.
Manage the job completion rate & monitor all jobs closed out daily as timeframes permit.
Coordinate installer’s schedules and ensure adequate staffing.
Train Installers to perform the standard installation procedures and provide technical advice to the members of the team/department.
Coach, counsel and evaluate field technicians’ performance.
Communicate all project issues and concerns to immediate supervisor in a timely and professional manner.
Assign duties, responsibilities and scope of authority to Lead Technicians.
Open and close the office when needed.
Assist in the recruitment and selection of technical services personnel.
Ensure bi-weekly inspections are performed on vehicles.
Perform regular “ride-outs” / JSO to ensure quality, safety and customer service requirements are being met.
Ensure that employees are adhering to all safety requirements and regulations and lead or assist in weekly Safety Meetings.
Listen and resolve employee issues and concerns quickly.

Quality Control:
Identify, monitor and address problem areas and customer service/quality control issues and complaints.
Establish workable quotas.
Perform Quality Control Inspections; up to 2 jobs per day, 5% of all Field Technician work.
Resolve escalated customer issues quickly and in a manner that satisfies the customer; educate employees associated with the issue to resolve such issues without escalation.
Investigate and or resolve all trouble calls after install and damages.

Analysis & Documentation:
Complete all paperwork & record and track all overtime. Maintain and update trouble call, damages and QC logs.
Monitor completion percentage and verify all non-completed jobs
Compile daily reports: job schedules and jobs completed for each technician
Note all reasons for why jobs could not be completed
Demonstrate standard practices for installation procedures.
Assist in the monitoring of revenues generated by tech and the profitability of technicians.

Position Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum 1 year of cable installation experience.
Supervisory experience in cable television, telecommunications or customer service industry a plus
Ability to work in a fast paced time sensitive environment and handle multiple tasks and last minute changes per customer or company mandate.
Professionalism while interacting with people of all dispositions.

Work Environment:
Employee will need to work outdoors at times in various weather conditions and may need to enter private residences while on duty.
