Job Description: Budtender / Patient Advocate / Point of Sale Person (PSP)

Xiphias Wellness Inc is looking for individuals who wish to become part of our sales team as Point of Sales Person (PSP)/Budtender. Work hours are 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. (Dispensary hours will be 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday through Saturday), and you must be available to work as needed to help our dispensary meet its patient needs demand. You will need to have a sociable demeanor and the ability to interact with and engage our customers. You will need to be schooled on all our products and services so that you can meet all our customer needs. You will be performing sales functions and will need to be able to run a register and be accountable for the till and inventory you sell. You must have a positive attitude and work well with others to help achieve sales goals and achieve great customer service. You must have a great work ethic, attendance record, and have an eye for detail and a positive attitude.

An RMD shall apply for dispensary agent registration for all board members, directors, employees, executives, managers, and volunteers who are associated with that RMD. All such individuals must be 21 years of age or older; and have not been convicted of a felony drug offense in the Commonwealth, or a like violation of the laws of another state, the United States, or a military, territorial, or Indian tribal authority. (725.030).

Work Setting

  • Xiphias Wellness Inc. is a professional office and sales setting.
  • Must use computers, tablets, phones, copiers and fax machines.
  • Compliance is a large facet of the job and properly filing information is a must.
  • Physical demands will be standing for long periods of time (eight hours of longer), lifting at least twenty-five pounds and bending.

  • Greet all customers (by name as they become regulars) learn their interest in Cannabis medicine.
  • Assist patients in identifying medicines and methods of medication that suit their individual needs.
  • Adhere to strict distribution regulations and maintain a professional and safe environment for customers and coworkers.
  • Acquire, process, and maintain required patient documents and information, and perform verification activities while maintaining patient confidentiality.
  • Continue to increase your body of knowledge of medical cannabis and continue to fine-tune your ability to explain and recommend treatments and products.
  • Unpack, sort, count, weigh and label merchandise as directed, including any items requiring special handling (perishables, etc.).
  • Maintain compliance always.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the dispensary.

  • Perform clerical duty such as compiling, accurate filing, maintain inventory, maintain records, assist clients at check-in.
  • Assist patients and arrange payment terms by established state guidelines.

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED Diploma
  • Experience in cannabis industry not required but preferred.
  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • Must comply with an extensive background check and must have a driver’s license.
  • Must be friendly, outgoing, dependable, trustworthy, hard-working and team and goal oriented.
  • Must be able to provide praiseworthy customer service and represent the business with pride.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Associate Degree
  • Sales experience
  • Knowledge of marijuana strains, edibles, extracts, and many modes of ingestion for the patient.
  • Dispensary-related experience
