Budtender / Cannabis Consultant

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Spokane's top-rated cannabis retail store on Leafly.com is looking to add Budtenders/Cannabis Consultants to our team! We are hiring for our two locations: North Spokane on Francis Ave. and Spokane Valley on Trent Ave.

We boast the cheapest prices in the state for marijuana ($7/gram or less for all products), over 1000 five star reviews from customers, and the highest wages for marijuana retail employees in the state.This position is responsible for assisting the management team with the activities and operations of the store, while abiding by policies, procedures, and operational guidelines. This position is also responsible for helping customers, cash-handling, and providing exceptional customer service. We have the most reviews on Leafly.com for a reason, and that's because we only hire hard-working, positive team players that have a true passion for our products!

We are looking for the right people for this role. High energy & enthusiasm for the products, industry, and company is a MUST.

The ideal candidate has complete open availability: Monday - Sunday, 7:30 am - 11:30 pm. Those with complete open availability will be given top priority for the job.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Greeting customers in a timely and energetic fashion & answering all customer questions
• Maintaining extensive knowledge of our product offerings, various consumption methods, and cannabis in general
• Accurately using our POS system
• Correct cash handling and discount application
• Store organization and cleaning
• Interacting with vendors in a professional manner
• Answering customer phone calls, texts and emails in a timely fashion

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum of 21 years of age and MUST be a resident of Washington State.
• Must remain compliant with any and all legal or company regulations for working in the industry. We have a ZERO-TOLERANCE policy for consumption of any kind prior to or during the work day.
• Previous retail and/or customer service experience is strongly preferred; although, we are open to experience from other industries as long as it's applicable to this role (if you previously excelled in sales, you'd be perfect for this role!)
• We do not require previous professional experience in the cannabis industry, but would strongly prefer that the applicant be a regular consumer of the product, as some of the job perks include occasional samples and an employee discount.
• Budtenders are required to have a thorough first-hand knowledge of all the products we sell

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma / Equivalent
• 4 Year College Degree (obtained or in progress) strongly preferred, especially for possible advancement within the company

COMPENSATION:

This position pays $15/hour.
