Budtender Job Description
Overview: Budtenders use their extensive product knowledge to guide customers to the appropriate medical or recreational product and provide excellent customer service while complying with all regulations.
Essential Functions:
--Strong Customer Service, must be positive and welcoming, greet all customers as they enter.
--Assists customers in selection of appropriate products, and accurately answers any questions they may have
--Maintain extensive knowledge about strains, products, consumption methods, and cannabis culture
--Knowledgeable about medical efficacy of various products
--Keep current on all pertinent local and state regulations
--Cleanliness and organization of the store
--Package, process, and roll cannabis
--Stock shelves, counters, and displays with merchandise
--Sticker and tag merchandise
--Ring up sales and enter discounts in POS system
--Spot inventory merchandise as required
--Other duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager

Work Environment
This job operates in a retail business environment. The role routinely uses standard retail equipment such as registers, phones, computers, printers, and filing cabinets.
Physical Demands
This is an active position requiring regular standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and climbing all day. The position requires talking and hearing as well as visual acuity. Employees must frequently lift and move items weighing up to 50 lbs. Good motor coordination is required for weighing and packaging of product.
Expected Hours of Work
Days and hours of work may vary by scheduling or seasonal needs. Evening and weekend work is required.
Additional Requirements
Must be 21 or older
Must have a current MED Support or Key Badge
Must be eligible to work in the United States
