The Greenlane sales team seeks an experienced and self-driven individual to lead one of our most excited product offerings, Gpen Gio. The position is based out of our Torrance, CA office, and will require travel. The individual chosen for this position will service existing accounts, generate new B2B business opportunities through our pre-qualified leads, and lead an activation team in support of dispensary sales.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Sales
- Establish relationships with new network of GPen Gio fill partnerships to launch in new states
- Build rapport with current Gio fill partners, maintain their current business, and support their sales through internal activation team, marketing coordination, and key members of the Grenco Science team
- Own the development and implementation of a GPen Gio activation team that will attract new key dispensaries and enhance dispensary sell-through to consumers
- Build “best practices” across the activation team; training program, relationship building, consumer and dispensary personnel interaction, and Gio retail merchandising
- Increase business segment share based on agreed metrics and goals
Business Development
- Build strategic partnerships with high impact clients for longer-term relationships
- Ensure that Gpen Gio customers and clients receive the highest level of sales and operational customer service
- Provide leadership to activation team responsible for training dispensary personnel, “Demo Days”, assisting retail merchandising, and developing new accounts and/or expanding existing accounts across regional market
Management
- Manage retail activation team including training program
- Build and develop a “best-in-class” activation team. The Gio product manager will lead, coach, and inspire others by their work and interaction. Motivate and mentor activation team as needed in order to increase enthusiasm, increase sales and help take the product to the next level
- Work together with the Director of Sales, Marketing Personnel, and key Grenco Science team members on a daily basis
- Maintain workflow by keeping up with sales order, marketing giveaways, and back ordered items
- Seek resolution for administrative, accounting, and operational issues
- Manage account on-boarding, ensuring proper documentation and licensing while assigning payment terms
- Create and revise systems and procedures to improve workflow
- Create and revise account and sales reports
PERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3+ years of Sales experience, preferably outside sales
- 1+ year(s) of Management experience
- Proven success hiring and training sales teams
- Thorough understanding of the cannabis industry
- A proven track record of relationship building, problem-solving and taking initiative with customers and vendors
