We are currently seeking a Brand Content Manager to work in our Content department at our headquarters in Seattle, WA. What You Will Be Doing: The Brand Content Manager works with the Director of Content and the Media Sales team to create world-class sponsored content for Leafly.com and social media. This position will help lead the editorial execution of all sponsored content stories for social. This role will have a strong focus on telling brand stories across multiple platforms for a range of subjects and requires strong verbal and written skills, an unmatched work ethic, and a desire to be a key player in one of the country’s fastest-growing industries. Responsibilities:
  • Work directly with the marketing and editorial teams to generate user engagement and social media content
  • Work with sponsors from within and outside the cannabis industry, developing custom content that seamlessly fits Leafly’s voice and brand guidelines while simultaneously catering to sponsor interests
  • Write, edit, assign, build, and publish sponsored articles on cannabis news and culture in categories such as science, health, cannabis 101, products, industry, and lifestyle
  • Work with editorial team, SEO, data, photography, video, digital marketing to create brand content
  • Participate in editorial meetings and identify content gaps that can be filled by sponsored stories
  • Work with our video team to create storylines for sponsored video content
  • Leverage data and analytics to refine processes and improve future content
Qualifications:
  • Three to five years’ experience working in sponsored content, branded content, content marketing or similar field
  • Strong written communication background and the ability to manage multiple projects at once
  • Experience turning brand stories into engaging content across a range of topics and geared toward different audiences
  • Ability to create high-value and engaging content
  • Be highly-organized and highly-dedicated employee who is interested in working in one of the fastest-growing areas of our business
  • Must be able to demonstrate an aptitude for juggling several projects at different stages of development
  • Strong understanding of social media and SEO
  • Experience with WordPress a plus
  • Experience with digital media and storytelling (familiarity with multi-media approaches to content, such as scripting video, audio, or infographic content, is a plus)
  • A degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or other relevant area of study
  • Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills and command of AP style
