We are searching for a Bookkeeper/Office Specialist who can work independently in a fast-paced environment and has a strong attention to detail. We’re not just looking for an “employee” – we’re looking for a team member who can be part of our growing business and participate in taking it to the next level!
Responsibilities Include:
- Day-to-day bookkeeping activities and partnering with our CPA firm.
- Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, including some collections follow-through.
- Cash management, bank deposits, account reconciliation.
- Manage State Board of Equalization payments, and other tax-related payments.
- Prepare financial reports, collection, and aging reports.
- Identify, reconcile, and correct payroll/accounting errors.
- Prepare a variety of correspondence, periodic and special reports, and other written materials; may access various databases or use information from various sources to prepare such materials.
- Light HR functions, such as payroll administration, employee verifications, and Workers’ Compensation coordination.
- Maintain office records: enter, edit, and retrieve data; process forms; maintain databases, confidential files.
- General support tasks, including managing company calls and emails, greeting guests, basic facilities coordination.
- Fill in for other administrative positions as necessary and assist with special projects.
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Characteristics:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field.
- 5+ years of bookkeeping experience.
- Professional knowledge of QuickBooks Desktop & Online and Microsoft Office Suite, including at least an intermediate level of skill in Excel. Knowledge of SharePoint and Odoo is a plus.
- Knowledge of the principles and practice of payroll preparation and management.
- Experience in office management desired.
- Experience working in a manufacturing facility is a plus.
- Able to communicate clearly to management, employees, contractors, vendors, and customers by phone, email, and in person.
- Exceptional grammar and proofreading skills. Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to prioritize, and multitask.
