Deroose Plants, Inc. is a well known supplier of young plants across the world. We have divisions in Europe (Belgium & The Netherlands), China (Shanghai) and the USA (Apopka, FL & Zellwood, FL).
Although our company is best known for its Bromeliad production from tissue culture, it has the will and ambition to become a prominent supplier of other varieties as well.
Seeking an Associate Grower for our Zellwood, Florida location
Ideal candidate would have a 2 year degree in Horticulture or related field or 1 year growing experience, however we will train the right person from the ground up regardless of experience.
Major responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Fertilization and irrigation of all crops
- Assist with chemical applications
- Maintaining crop records
- Monitoring greenhouse environment using our computer automated system
- Conducting in-house soil sampling and maintain records
- Crop scouting and record keeping
This person will work under direct supervision of the Product Manager/Head Grower. We are looking for a dependable, organized, individual who possesses a strong work ethic and the ability to work in a fast paced, diverse environment. Computer skills are a plus, along with the desire to be on a winning team.
Weekend duty is required. Grower will be on call and will be compensated accordingly.
