Job summary: The Associate Graphic Designer will support creative strategy by executing visual designs that inspire, inform and captivate our audiences. This role will report to the Marketing Director and work with Creative in the production of artwork for marketing campaigns, presentations, ads, and other printed and web-based media.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborating with the Creative and Marketing teams on design concepts for multi-platform campaigns.
- Work both independently and closely with manager to ensure brand consistency.
- Coordinates with Creative Manager to insure the priority and timeliness of all projects.
- Assist in design of all marketing assets, print and digital.
- Manipulate graphics (scanning, retouching, color correction, file conversion, etc.)
- Create visual aspects of marketing materials, websites and other media, including infographics.
- Offers input to creative meetings and sharing ideas.
- Produces attractive and effective designs for all media.
- Help to produce internal sales and marketing materials.
- Plan concepts by studying information and materials.
- Collaborate with creative and photography on promotional concepts for existing/new products.
- Convey designs through a variety of mediums including but not limited to: print, social media, web, etc.
- Assist in preparations of presentations, web page layouts, social media accounts, and other collateral as necessary.
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years’ experience in graphic design or a related field.
- Bachelor’s Degree in graphic design or a related field preferred.
- Extensive experience with Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign.
- Must be a creative, conceptual thinker.
- Up-to-date knowledge of the latest design trends.
- Strong portfolio which shows experience with a range of programs and materials.
- Demonstrate the ability to quickly comprehend visual design requirements.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and under pressure of tight deadlines.
- Flexibility in starting and shifting between projects as needed.
- Self-starter with a strong sense of urgency.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and possess outstanding follow-through skills.
- Strong written communication and oral presentation skills.
