Job Description
Reporting to the Director of Marketing and working closely with the Senior Marketing Manager, the Assistant Marketing Manager will support a wide variety of marketing activities including research, branding, retail marketing and merchandising, product marketing, digital marketing, advertising and media, sales support and events. The Assistant Marketing Manager will provide critical support in building the organization’s marketing strategy and integrated marketing plans to increase brand awareness, customer acquisition and retention and revenue for both our retail dispensary and wholesale businesses.
As an Assistant Marketing Manager you will:
- Collaborate with Communications and Creative Services marketing groups and cross-functional teams to support integrated marketing plans and impactful creative and communications.
- Conduct research and competitive monitoring activities such as audits, survey development, analysis and reporting.
- Assist with creative brief development to guide agency and internal creative services department efforts across channels.
- Support digital marketing efforts including website management, email marketing, SEO and loyalty rewards program.
- Coordinate advertising campaign development and media planning and buying activities.
- Support retail merchandising, POP and environmental branding development and execution.
- Coordinate product marketing efforts including new product development, branding and promotions; Optimize product promotion process across dispensaries, finance, production and marketing.
- Provide wholesale sales support through effective collateral, promotions, events, etc.
- Be responsible for development of event marketing strategy and execution working with field marketing managers.
- Provide marketing support for development and maintenance of e-commerce platform including menu/product detail management.
- Work closely with Field Marketing Managers to coordinate local efforts with enterprise-wide marketing programs.
- Collect KPI data and input into marketing scorecard to track performance.
- Proofread marketing communications as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Director of Marketing.
Qualifications
- 4-8 years of related marketing experience; start-up experience a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, public relations or other related fields.
- Excellent verbal communication and writing skills.
- Exceptional project management and multi-tasking skills; strong attention-to-detail.
- Team player but can also work well independently.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic and evolving industry and company.
