Duties/Responsibilities
- Maintain a distribution process that is professional and safe for all patients and in compliance to federal and state guidelines. Greet patients when entering the dispensary with compassion and professionalism.
- Accurately enter patient information into our database system and verify eligibility for purchase.
- Provide exceptional customer service - always going the extra mile.
- Quickly and precisely handle cash and debit transactions while always maintaining a balanced cash drawer.
- Work with a diverse group of personalities - employees and patients.
- Possess excellent skills in mathematics.
- Be extremely organized, efficient, and a good manager of time & resources.
- Navigate Windows, and multiple applications quickly, using short-cut keys and expert typing skills.
- Clean, stock, and organize dispensary.
- Conduct nightly inventory counts of all dispensary products.
- Work cohesively as part of family/team environment.
- Work on special projects and assignments designated by management.
- Gathering and processing necessary information with detailed verification. Dispense medical cannabis to patients, entering each sale into the POS system and ensuring the dispensary area is clean and organized.
- Ensure all stored cannabis is accounted for and the dispensary has adequate amounts of medical cannabis products for day-to-day operations.
- Trained to oversee the day-to-day operations in the absence of the Dispensary Manager. Assumption of those duties would include financials, physical inventory, storage of cannabis,leading a team of employees, overseeing the cleanliness & organization of the dispensary.
- Answer telephone and email inquiries.
- Knowledge of solid and liquid dosage medications and topicals dispensed. Explain treatment procedures and use of product.
- Greet customers and help them locate merchandise.
- Unpack, sort, count and label merchandise, including items requiring special handling or refrigeration.
- Prepare labels by typing or operating a computer and printer.
- Receive store and inventory supplies, notifying management when levels are low.
Education/Experience Required
- Minimum Associates Degree or 2 years experience in medical clinic and or management experience with customer service base.
- Demonstrate ability to support customers with knowledge and customer service.
- Demonstrate ability to provide confidentially.
- Follows/Acknowledges the strictest Federal and State Guidelines.
- Understands the process of distribution and purpose of services.
- Communicates effectively.
- Strives for Excellence.
- Provide a positive example of professionalism and exceptional work ethics throughout the corporation.
- Perform other duties as required to successfully meet department and company goals and objectives.
- Reports to Manager.
Hiring Requirements
- Must be over 21 years of age.
- Can legally work in the United States - all documentation required
- Applicant must consent to a criminal background check
- Must pass a drug screen or have a valid Maryland Medical Marijuana Patient Card
- Must have a valid Maryland State-Issued ID or U.S. Passport
- Must be able to occasionally lift 50+ pounds
- Must be able to either sit or stand for long periods of time
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must have no scheduling restrictions.
- Employment offers are contingent upon successful completion of the criminal background check and drug screen.
