Summary/Objective
Assists the Head of Cultivation in all aspects of crop production including, but not limited to, cultivation staff scheduling, management and training, nutrient and water testing, recording and measuring plant data, crop manipulation and training, room and equipment cleaning and sterilization and integrated pest management.

- Develops staff scheduling and oversees cultivation crews.
- Communicates directly with Head of cultivation to ensure crops are healthy and on-schedule.
- Mixes and applies fertilizers and pesticides
- Assists in all aspects of crop production including seeding, cutting, cloning, pruning, and training.
- Assists in the upkeep and maintenance of a clean and sterile environment including the use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Maintains biosecurity protocols and reports any breaches or questionable actions directly to Head of Cultivation.
- Assists in crop inspection, disease and pest reporting, and other aspects of IPM protocol
- Maintains current knowledge of latest production techniques and practices
- Monitors the working environment to ensure that company hygiene, and health & safety policies and procedures are complied with.
- Ensures compliance with state regulations for all aspects of cannabis production.
- Ensures all SOPs are followed and maintained by cultivation staff
- Perform general office duties such as data entry and maintaining records.
- Assists Head of Cultivation in the development and improvement of best crop production practices to improve quality, efficiency, and yield of crops grown.
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in the field.
- Two to five years of previous crop production experience. (not necessarily cannabis)
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize daily workload.
- Ability to learn and anticipate the needs of the Head of Cultivation.
- Experience managing teams.
- Enthusiasm about the Medical Marijuana Industry.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in biology, horticulture, agriculture, or similar field.
- Experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge and experience with the state mandated tracking system METRC.
- Knowledge of IPM best practices
- Knowledge of sterile technique
