Brownswood Nursery, now in its 40th year, is one of the largest retail/wholesale nurseries in the Charleston area. We offer a complete line of services from growing to landscape design and installation to maintenance. We have been Inspiring people to Grow since 1978 and we are always seeking to add new talent to our vital and growing team of designers, sales people, and project managers. Interested? You enjoy working hard & supporting others on your team and customers that need help. You are extroverted, energetic, punctual and motivated. You have a passion for horticulture, gardening and inspiring others to grow. You have a thorough knowledge of plants that grow in Charleston. You like to end your day with the pride of knowing you did your best and made some great progress towards your projects.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Perseverance, sees projects through to completion
• Desire to work outside & likes physical tasks
• Able to handle physical activity such as lifting, loading, and unloading large plants
• Bachelor or Associates Degree in Horticulture/Agriculture or related field preferred
• Strong work ethic, integrity, fast-paced
• Nursery/Garden Center experience a must
• SC pesticide applicator permit Cat 3
• Spraying & growing experience with woody ornamental shrubs and trees
• Propagation experience preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $30,000.00 to $45,000.00 /year

• woody ornamental growing: 5 years (Preferred)
