Pope Valley Farmsis looking to add a full time Cultivation Specialist to our quickly “growing” family business! We are a licensed retail cultivation facility, and we aim to produce nothing shy of the best; this starts by ensuring that all members of our team are professional, meticulous, and have a passion for the sacred plant.
The individual hired for this position will be responsible for the following:
- Manages and maintains facility protocols
- Perform tasks in the grow including but not limited to: transplanting, feeding plants, defoliation, topping, flushing, and inventory management
- Develops and maintains facility protocols and nutrient regiment
- Highly knowledgeable and well researched on many growing techniques and provides insight to expand the company’s knowledge of growing techniques that result in continually gains in plant yield
- Receptive to change and current techniques as they work for our specific facility
- Works as well-rounded team player and is able to pick up wherever is needed
- Operates under the high standards our company has for compliance and professionalism
- Expert knowledge of plant diseases, insects and fungi, as well as plant treatment options
- Manages plant scheduling to precisely project all grow needs on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis
- Analyzes each individual strain from veg to harvest
- Successfully executes preventative maintenance and elimination of types of mold, powdery mildew, spider mites, root aphids, etc.
- Maintains a clean and organized work environment
- Collaborates with management staff to provide timely reporting
- Assists in government inspections and compliance audits
- Conducts facility maintenance and troubleshooting as necessary
Qualifications:
- 1 year or more of commercial cultivation experience
- Advanced knowledge of the cannabis plant and genetics strongly preferred, though a strong agricultural background may be considered
- Must be punctual and available to work any day of the week, when needed. Although most business is conducted during the day, there may be a need for occasional graveyard shifts depending on the needs of the business.
- Must demonstrate accountability and proactive behavior and strong attention to detail
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must be an MED Support or Key Badge holder
- Must be able to perform physical requirements necessary to the position, including standing for long periods of time, walking the warehouse, and lifting of 50 pounds.
- This job is approximately 25 miles Southwest of Pueblo off Hwy 96 and Siloam Road. Must be able to commute and be on time daily. Beautiful Wet Mountain View. Fun, Indoor/Outdoor work. We also have a sister grow about 2 miles down the same road. Many potential opportunities!
Please be informed that although this is an Assistant Grower position, but we are in the process of a build-out that may continue several years. So, we expect that the qualified candidate may also be involved in the build out at times which could include some manual labor. Construction skills are a plus.
Additionally, we are seeking someone who also posseses familiarity with IT/Server and Security Server Functions. If this is you, this is a huge plus.
The position starts at a probationary $12.00 per hour. However, the perfect fit could move out of that upon a 90 day review.
