Assistant Grower

Primary Responsibilities

• Perform propagation methodologies for clone production.
• Maintain mother stock to maximize cutting production.
• Assist grower and greenhouse manager to maintain written Standard Operating Procedures for all activities.
• Keep an open communication channel between self and grower regarding crop health and safety standards.
• Maintain detailed and organized records of project data and other materials as needed, maintain inventory records, and regulatory compliance.
• Perform weekly soil testing and make adjustments to fertigation as needed.
• Scout weekly for plant pests and diseases and consult with grower for corrective action.
• Apply pesticides and fungicides in a manner compliant with OSHA and Federal WPS standards.
• Follow plant production schedule and ensure timely release of clones to customers that meet or exceed their expectations.Desired Qualifications
• Ability to follow protocols, willingness to learn new skills, and detail oriented.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, and government regulations.
• Prior experience in greenhouse production is a plus.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office programs i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
• Working familiarity with the maintenance and archiving of documents, including SOP’s electronic record keeping, and electronic inventory management.
• Must have excellent organizational, communication, leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to obtain a CDA private applicators pesticide license.
• Knowledge of METRC System preferred
