Job Description:

Position Summary:

The Assistant Dispensary Manager is responsible for managing day-to-day operations of the dispensary, including: scheduling, training, providing policy and procedure updates, keeping updated with industry news and product information. Persons in this role are responsible for ordering and receiving inventory and products, arranging deliveries, maintaining agent and facility compliance and cleanliness and ensuring superior customer service and sales.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in a position with managerial responsibilities.
  • Understanding of employment and labor laws pertaining to Human Resources.
  • Thorough understanding of state and local cannabis laws.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience in a sales environment including POS/cash register transactions.
  • Proficiency and accuracy in Windows based software and point of sale applications; experience with METRC and Green Bits preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills and time management abilities.
  • Superior customer service skills.
  • Must be able to regularly stand, sit, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs. for extended periods of time.

Responsibilities:

  • Direct, coach, support, manage and delegate tasks to employees.
  • Serve as a role model and resource for dispensary staff concerning products and services, policies and procedures, industry news and changes in regulations.
  • Drive sales through upselling, cross selling and suggestive selling.
  • Coaching, training and development of employees.
  • Resolve customer complaints, requests, concerns, suggestions and conflicts.
  • Coordinate with management to ensure accurate information is communicated to employees.
  • Maintain accurate records of all dispensary activities including customer records, sales, deliveries and returns.
  • Maintain inventory control system and perform daily counts of all products in the facility.
  • Maintain superior cash control practices.
  • Provide regular inventory and sales reports to the Dispensary Manager.
  • Lead the team to provide superior customer service for vendors and customers.
  • Respond to all employee questions, concerns or suggestions and takes action when necessary to resolve conflicts.
  • Delegate tasks to employees in order to maintain a compliant and clean facility.
  • Assist with managing dispensary staff, including performance, training and disciplinary measures.
  • Attend all required training sessions on security, customer relations, and other topics.
  • Answer multi-phone line system when needed.
  • Additional Duties as Required.
