The Assistant Dispensary Manager directs all dispensary activities to optimize the customer experience, improve the efficiency of operations, and maintain an environment of unsurpassed retail excellence. The Assistant Dispensary Manager must also build and maintain meaningful relationships with business partners and industry stakeholders to enhance regional and national presence.

- Maintaining employee passion and enthusiasm for THP and its customers
- Achieving financial objectives by preparing a monthly budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions
- Identifying current and future customer requirements by establishing rapport with potential and actual customers and other persons in a position to understand product/service requirements
- Ensuring availability of merchandise and service
- Formulating pricing policies by reviewing merchandising activities; determining additional needed sales promotion; authorizing clearance sales; studying trends
- Suggesting marketing strategy changes based on experiences with customers, vendors and sales staff
- Marketing merchandise by studying advertising, sales promotion, and display plans; analyzing operating and financial statements for sales velocities and profitability ratios
- Securing merchandise by implementing security systems and measures
- Implementing compliant cash handling procedures
- Protecting employees and customers by providing a safe and clean environment
- Maintaining all aspects of dispensary operation in strict compliance with Department of Public Health, municipal, and state legal regulations and requirements
- Ensuring that Company management is advised on all pertinent operations
- Overseeing dispensary maintenance including but not limited to: HVAC, plumbing, repairs, front entry cleanliness, and technology fixes as needed
- Maintaining professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and industry events; reviewing medical cannabis publications; establishing personal networks within the industry
- Initiating and maintaining positive relationships with abutting businesses and neighborhood groups and associations.
Requirements:
- 21 years of age or older, no felony drug convictions, have reliable transportation
- Minimum 3 years retail sales management experience of 20+ individuals.
- Experience managing in a regulated industry preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent required
- This job operates in a professional office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as iPads/computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets
- Required fluency in MS Office application suite, with emphasis on Word and Excel. Must be willing to learn accounting, POS, tracking and inventory control applications
- This is a full-time position. Work hours are anytime between Monday through Sunday, 9:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m
Preferred Experience
- Previous Retail/Sales experience
- Knowledge of marijuana strains, (indicas, sativas, hybrids), edibles, extracts, topicals, tinctures, vapes, and current products on the market is a plus
- Dispensary-related experience a plus
