Job Description:

This position is responsible for managing the daily operations of multiple cannabis brands in the Indus Holding Co. portfolio. The Assistant Brand Manager will have input into the strategic planning process, and coordinate with the rest of the organization regarding all aspects of the brand’s operational needs. Formal marketing experience is not required, and all marketing-related aspects of the job will be part of the training.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve as central point of contact for the brands they manage, coordinating between Manufacturing, Compliance, Marketing, Sales and Distribution to ensure that all involved departments are aligned
  • Coordinate the brand planning process, collecting input from key stakeholders and creating comprehensive brand plans for the organization to follow, with clearly defined objectives and strategies for success
  • Manage the execution of the brand plans both internally and externally, communicating across departments to ensure a coordinated effort
  • Create reports to communicate brand developments and progress with the rest of the organization
  • Develop both trade and consumer marketing campaigns and activations, from initial concept to market execution and reporting
  • Support brand-related trade marketing efforts set up by the sales team
  • Develop key communications tools such as brand presentations, educational assets, sales tools and POS to support the sales team
  • Manage all brand related assets, including communicating availability, managing inventory and getting assets to staff in the market
  • Contribute to brand public relations strategy and coordinate execution with public relations agency support
  • Ensure adherence to defined brand guidelines and strategy
  • Address any market issues that arise related to managed brands, including quality control and out of stocks
  • Contribute to market research efforts to keep the organization informed with current data and insights
  • Manage new product development, collaborating with other departments including Manufacturing, Business Development and others to ensure that we stay on-trend as new categories emerge
  • Coordinate with the internal creative team on any brand-related creative needs
  • Additional organizational support as needed, including shareholder meetings, staff meetings, staff events
  • Participate in any marketing planning and development activities, including meetings, retreats, and conferences
  • Manage all aspects of brand social media strategy, including strategic approach, content creation, posting, engagement and reporting
  • Coordinate new product launches, including the creation of any associated campaigns and activations
  • Coordinate brand awards strategy, including product submission and collecting results to integrate into marketing efforts
  • Support all internal standard operating procedures
  • Manage all aspects of brand websites, coordinating with the in-house creative team
  • Manage any partnerships with the brand, including the establishment of new partnerships as necessary
  • Work with Marketing Manager to develop individual KPI’s and successfully accomplish these KPI’s

  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Must have bachelor’s Degree
  • No formal marketing experience necessary
  • Must pass a background check
  • Must have current driver’s license
  • Provide copy of college transcript
