JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking two high-performing Area Sales Managers based in the Los Angeles and San Francisco/Oakland area who bring significant ambition, extensive cannabis knowledge, existing cannabis industry relationships, strong leadership qualities, and a desire to join a winning team. You should be passionate, hungry, creative, dynamic and thrive on process, strategy and focus. This revolutionary health and wellness brand currently has limited California penetration and our goal is to greatly expand our distribution..

The ideal candidate has dispensary, cultivation, or other cannabis industry experience and will visit key accounts in their assigned territory and work with local distributors and distributor sales reps to achieve sales objectives. We are also accepting applications from anyone who has been wrongly prosecuted for cannabis. The position requires a self- motivated, organized, energetic, and creative person with prior sales experience in the cannabis industry or similar industries.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and maintain an organized list of key accounts in the territory
  • Sell our brand to retailers in coordination with local distributors
  • Call on key accounts on an ongoing basis to review in-store priorities
  • Utilize data-driven decision making to identify upsell opportunities and improve the performance of our sales efforts
  • Lead sales meetings (weekly, monthly) to motivate the sales team
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Educate account managers on proper and effective merchandising:
  • Proper shelf management positions
  • Rack, equipment, and POS placements * Provide leadership to a team responsible for selling the company’s products and services, developing new accounts and/or expanding existing accounts across the Northern and Southern CA regional market
  • Build strategic partnerships with high impact clients for longer term relationships
  • Develop and implement sales programs that will attract new key accounts and enhance sales to current customers to deliver required sales growth
  • Clearly communicate the value of our product offering
  • Travel to meet with potential and existing clients, as well as sales staff at regional locations
  • Participate in sales conferences, industry meetings and social networks to represent the company’s brand
  • Trains distribution teams and budtenders on new products, launches, and sales programs to increase sales revenue through the distribution channel
  • Hire and train brand ambassadors
  • Coordinate with sales team to plan promotional activities, trade shows and special events
  • Build “best practices” across the field teams; defining new opportunities, and maintaining the current and burgeoning base of business.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Extensive cannabis and cannabis products knowledge
  • 5+ years experience in B2C or B2B sales with a demonstrable track record of meeting monthly/quarterly quotas
  • Pre-established relationships with dispensaries in the Los Angeles and/or SF/Bay Area
  • Strong customer service, interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral)
  • Creative presentation/public speaking and premium selling skills are a must
  • Innovative and creativity in approaching accounts and expanding business
  • Ability to formulate account strategies and execute against them
  • Professional demeanor in working with coworkers, distributors, retail reps and consumers
  • Knowledge and experience in forecasting models, including budget, dates, probability to close and inventory estimates
  • Hustler attitude: you are determined to close sales and exceed your targets
  • Must have valid driver's license and own vehicle to travel and transport promotional merchandise between accounts within assigned territory
  • Knowledge of CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite applications.
