Job Description:

The Analytical Lab Technician will analyze sample prep and performing extractions of cannabis products, operation, and maintenance of analytical, purification and extraction instruments and report findings to lab manager. The goal is to optimize lab procedures and succeed in producing reliable and important results that can be used.

Essential Functions

Receive, label, and analyze samples.
Execute laboratory testing according to company standards and procedures.
Follow protocol to conduct experiments under defined conditions to verify/reject various types of hypothesis using refined scientific methods.
Organize and store all test samples according to safety and company standards.
Record all data and results in specified forms with accuracy and on time.
Maintain equipment and assist in ordering lab supplies.
Cleans, assembles, disassembles, and replaces equipment as required.
Tests functional performance of assembly.
Maintains and monitors test equipment as necessary to ensure continued accuracy.
Performs 100 percent functional test of all samples and equipment in accordance with the acceptance test procedures.
Records test results in the appropriate location.
Keeps department and surrounding areas clean and free of foreign object damage.
Keeps supervisor advised of work status, workload, problems, and progress as related to work assignments.

Required Education and Experience

Bachelor of Science in Chemistry or a related field
1-year laboratory experience
