CB Labs, a pioneer in standardized testing of medical marijuana for commercial growers and dispensaries, currently has an exciting opportunity for an Analytical Chemist. We’re looking for a smart, self-driven individual to join us. LAB TECH RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Follows and ensures strict lab safe environment
  • Advanced skills with LCMSMS
  • Produces reliable and precise data to support scientific investigation
  • Prepares samples for chemical analysis
  • Calibrates measuring equipment on a daily basis
  • Measures and records data
  • Operates standard lab equipment (i.e. scale, centrifuge, pipets, vortex, sonicator)
  • Carries out routine tasks accurately and following strict methodologies and SOP’s
  • Maintains a clean laboratory
  • Tracks and inform manager on inventory of supplies as needed
  • Other job duties may be assigned
  • Maintains client records. Protects client confidentiality by adhering to state and federal privacy laws.
  • Learns continuously about developments in the cannabis industry through ongoing education and by attendance at seminars, etc.

LAB TECH QUALIFICATIONS:

  • MUST BE OVER 21 YEARS OLD
  • Satisfactory progress towards science degree or completion of 1 year of chemistry/biology or related science lab courses with completed lab safety orientation
  • Knowledge of OSHA, or HIPAA regulation, and HAZMAT guidelines preferred
  • Experience with basic laboratory tasks such as pipetting
  • Know basic mathematic calculations related to chemistry (algebra, calculus)
  • Experience with software applications such as MS Office applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Be meticulous and detail-oriented
  • Ability to read, speak, write, understand and follow English verbal and written instructions
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team and/or independently
  • Ability to perform tasks in a high-volume production environment
  • Capable of organizing multiple tasks, using time management skills
  • Be able to lift 50lbs

Salary: DOE

Benefits: Salary. Two weeks paid vacation after first year, 10 paid holidays a year, health insurance after 90 day probationary period
