DESCRIPTION: Municipally licensed medicinal cannabis products manufacturer is seeking a full-time, first-shift Quality Control Lab technician and analyticalchemist. We are looking for an individual who is able to operate HPLC/UPLC technologies, in a quality control production environment. The qualified candidate will be willing and able to interface well with cannabis industry professionals.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform sample preparation procedures for LC UV assays
- Analyzing and reviewing test data, presenting results to supervisor
- Set up, Operation, adjust, calibrate, clean, maintain and troubleshoot HPLC, UPLC, analytical balance, and pipette instrumentation
- Closely follow standard operating procedure for analytical analysis of products
- Identify gaps in good operational practice and help outline solutions for increased productivity and up-time
- Adherence to a time-sensitive production schedule
- Strict attention to detail
- Maintain a clean working environment
- Maintain Instrument Usage and cleaning logs
- Ensure early diagnosis of instrumentation problems
- Perform routine repairs and preventative maintenance of HPLC and UPLC instruments
- Ability to effectively communicate results and work in a high production environment
- Adherence to mandated safety guidelines
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's/Associate’s degree in Chemistry or Biology preferred
- Experience with analytical liquid chromatography practices(HPLC,UPLC)
- Experience as a flavorist is a definite plus and preffered
- A good understanding of QC data handling
- Knowledge of cannabis processing techniques are a plus
- Knowledge of mass balance and proper pipette skills are highly desirable
- Ability to utilize basic computer programs like Microsoft word, and Excel
- Ability to pass a federal background check to obtain a state issued work card
