Summary/Objective
As a leading Cannabis grower, Medmen operates controlled environment growing facilities in multiple locations. Establishing and sharing industry leading knowledge, technologies and best practices relevant to controlled environment growing of Cannabis in hydroponic substrates is key a responsibility of this role. This position will help optimize production efficiencies, deliver on precision growing metrics, lead and train members of the Agronomy team in extending best practices and technologies.

- Establishes and continually improves an industry leading Cannabis cultivation program
- Learns and extends best practices and technologies based on both internal research efforts and from external sources of publicly available information
- Facilitates the adoption and transfer of technologies by collaborating strategically with external experts and vendors to further improve our precision growing methodologies
- Provides analysis and interpretation of plant tissue and substrate testing results and recommends management actions and strategies
- Monitors, evaluates and improves cultivation techniques of new cultivars and helps with optimizing cultivation practices by working collaboratively with Plant Breeders and Applied Research Biologists
- Leads cross-functional teams as needed to solve plant growing challenges and solutions implementations
- Establishes guidelines, protocols & training for team members in precision growing
- Oversees cultivation and plant propagation processes
- Trains and advises Agronomy staff in cultivation operations and work in coordination to continually improve the same
- Maintains cultivation related records in database platforms accessible by the Agronomy department staff
- Assist the Plant Health and Program Management team in the design and development of the clean stock program and protocols

equired Education and Experience
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Master’s degree in Agronomy, Plant Sciences, Horticulture or related degree, or equivalent experience
- Bilingual ability in Spanish/English is a plus
- Management experience in production agriculture
- Leadership skills building teams in a highly collaborative environment
