Job Duties:

  • Provide confidential, reliable and comprehensive administrative and office management support on a daily basis.
  • Welcome guests and customers by greeting them, in person or on the telephone; answering or directing inquiries.
  • Provide administrative support to management groups as well as interact with laboratory employees.
  • Responsible for maintaining calendars; coordinates internal and external meetings and conference calls.
  • Provide domestic and international travel arrangements.
  • Coordinate service needs for office equipment and maintain inventory of office supplies.
  • Prepare agendas, reserve and prepare facilities, and record minutes of meetings.
  • Prepare outgoing mail and correspondence, including e-mail and faxes.
  • Assist with customer services client questions via phone and e-mail.
  • Act as a liaison between clients and laboratory staff.
  • Submit hiring requisitions and arranging interviews; coordinating interviews with Management and other groups.
  • Plan and organize company events.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Problem solving abilities and resourceful ways of improving office workflow.
  • Highly organized and pays strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good telephone skills.
  • Science background is desirable (i.e., laboratory experience).

Education and Experience:

High School diploma, post high school education preferred. At least 5 years of directly related administrative experience. Post high-school education will count toward experience.
